5’7” (+-170cm) Venerable Tiger Moth airframe . Looks to be from a kit. Really well built, straight and covered in a really strong tex material. Real aged patina like the full size (I know because I did my PPL on club Tigers in the 1960s) Airframe rescued from Wings and Wheels. Did a lot of fettling and fitted a brand new Saito FA-100.
Engine run in using Pro Synth (no castor oil), 4 tanks. Tiger flown for 3 flights, approx 25 mins air time. Flies like the real thing. Only way to fly is scale, you can’t scream around the sky. Engine perfectly matched for scale flying and even for basic aeros (loop, barrel roll, stall turn etc) you have to manage energy properly.
Selling because I can’t handle IC any more. If I kneel down to start the engine then getting up is a problem and even if I could I would not be able to pick up the aircraft with the engine running, just too much of a risk for me so selling up my ic hangar and keeping a few foamies only.
The engine new is now is around the £400 mark plus or minus a small amount. I think my price of £280 for the package gives you an almost new Saito FA-100 at a bargain price with a lovely old airframe thrown in. Even has a new flight battery. Fit receiver and fly.
Collection only. Would run the engine for prospective buyers and if really serious would take off the cowling to show the engine.
