Lancaster and Morecambe Model Aircraft Club are seeking new members to join our friendly and welcoming club.
We operate from a flat and open countryside site, at Jeremy Lane near Glasson Dock, about 6 miles south of Lancaster. We can fly all year round, and have two overlapping landing strips, one orientated E-W and the other N-S, so wind direction is never a problem.
We cater for all levels of ability, from beginner to expert, and our members take part in most aspects of flying including Fixed Wing (glow, petrol and electric power), Gliders, Helicopters and Multi-rotors. We are registered with the BMFA as a Drone Friendly Club.
We have several club instructors on hand to give help and advice, and training for beginners. We encourage club members to take part in the BMFA Achievement Scheme and we have our own BMFA qualified examiner/instructor to help with this.
A new facility at our flying site is a solar panel powered battery setup which allows “free and green” charging for electric fliers!
