I bought this model about four years ago on a whim and fitted it with a 90 two stroke – in that configuration it flew nicely and has a great scale presence in the air. I think it is 1/7 scale?

Due to changes on flying ic models at my club I converted it to a (4max) 6S power train last year and if flies beautifully but it has become a hangar queen as my priority is now in F3A flying.

Where the cowl was cut for the exhaust, it has been carefully filled in with metal mesh and it looks very good. The undercarriage fairings have been strengthened as they were susceptible to cracking due to flexing on landing. The model is at home flying off grass.

The supplied horrible Blackhorse pilot figure was replaced with a hand painted proper scale WWII British pilot.

Metal gear servos fitted all round

The model comes with a scale torpedo as can be seen in the photo although at present this is not fitted. It also comes with a WWII propeller
